EARLY SCENT INTRODUCTION (ESI)

ESI is done alongside Biosensor Training. It has been used for dogs who will be used for hunting, nosework, search and rescue work, detection, and tracking to enhance a puppy's ability to identify and react to specific scents.
Pet puppies also benefit from this simple stimulation and many breeders say they have seen improvements in confidence and stability in their pet and service dogs.
Dogs that are taught and engage in scenting have a more optimistic attitude toward life and with that, fewer behavior problems.
The process is simple:  we introduce a new scent each day from day 3 to day 16 including natural items like grass, dirt, leaves, and evergreen needles; Fruits, Herbs, and Spices like lemons, apples, bananas, rosemary, and mint; Training Items like tennis balls, leather, and essential oils; Miscellaneous Items such as tolerant pets: cats, gerbils, or guinea pigs. We track whether the pup avoids, is interested in, or is neutral to each scent.

Why do we do this?  If we can spend a few seconds each day for 13 days doing this for each pup and they are better for it, why wouldn't we?

BIOSENSOR TRAINING

From day 3 to day 16, your puppy will receive biosensor training.  Developed by the military, this is an early neurological stimulation program.  It is also called the "Super Dog" program and is based on scientific facts about how puppies learn.
The Biosensor Program involves five exercises that will produce neurological stimulations, none of which naturally occur during the early life of the puppy.  The benefits that have been observed by providing this stimulation are:  Improved cardiovascular health, stronger adrenal glands, more tolerance to stress, and a greater immune system.
In learning tests the stimulated pups were found to be more active and were more exploratory than the pups not stimulated.  Secondary effects also determined were that the pups handled stressful situations with less whining, were much more calm, and made fewer errors.
